Curious - this doesn't feel like a photograph. Andy looks like he's been stuck ontop of the background, and somehow it looks very very flat. How did you shoot this? (or is it in the developing?)
Curiouser and curiouser, as Alice said.

pretty. the composition is fantastisch and the colours are potentially very striking - it needs a fiddling-with, though, to make it as strong as it could be. i really like the way the blue of the garage door compliments the blue of andy's jeans.

what it could definitely do with is some straightening. if you had photoshop i'd say go here, but you don't, do you?

where did you take it?

afterthought: i'd invert the colours of the border. but that's probably a matter of personal taste.
:icon1500monkeys:
well it really is - i dulled down the colours a bit, that's all. i dunno man...

yeah i desaturated and darkened it a little to add grimness but i'm not sure it's worked out entirely... what would you recommend?

shot at some block of garages... if you walk out the side of the gracechurch centre by the public toilets, cross the one-way system and walk under the railway bridge, there's a little sideroad on the left when you come out, go down there and the forecourt thing's last thing on the left.

*errm.....well,i don't quite know....may i continue
~oh all right!
:iconbewildermouse:
the way you've darkened it seems like underexposure, so i'd make the most of the colours, and up the contrast. it's grim already, what with andy's expression and the grunge of the setting. otherwise, perhaps you could go even further with the desaturation until there's barely any colour left - but it seems a shame to waste the blue and pink.
also, i reckon a little noise addition would probably be good for a "gritty" feel. after a bit of sharpening.
only suggestions, mind. subjectivity, etc. etc..

Nice shot...looks very relaxed. And the background is nice as well.
